Trip To The Laundry Mat

It was a hot day but a trip to the laundry mat was necessary. I took my two toddlers, a large bag of clothes, and a blanket on top of a double stroller on a good walk to the laundry mat. My Sweetheart kept telling me the sun was burning her and I kept telling her that the sunblock would protect the three of us. I told her I would try to find hats for us to wear in the future to increase protection. I tried to make conversation with her about it. I often try to speak to my toddlers as if I'm having a conversation with them to help increase their vocabulary. I believe it is paramount to help develop a child's vocabulary early in childhood. I try to read to them as often as I can or as time allows. It's difficult to find the time but I think time should be made even if it is one reading from a book a day.

At the laundry mat, my son Sugarpuff, was extremely active as he is everywhere he goes. My daughter was also similarly active at this age. Many babysitters, including family members could not handle caring for them, even for a short period of time. I feared ADHD but my daughter seemed to develop normally and has toned down some near her 5th birthday. At around 11 months of age, my son pointed to an airplane and a helicopter in the sky consecutively and spoke "airplane" and "helicopter" in thick toddler accent, yet well enough for me to understand and I personally have a hard time understanding any English with a thick foreign accent.
